Salman Agha celebrating century in ODI against Sri Lanka
Pakistan all-rounder Salman Agha scored a century of 107 runs against Sri Lanka in Rawalpindi, helping the team reach 305 runs, despite recently being removed from both Test and T20 captaincies.

In the first match of the three-nation ODI series, Pakistan’s top order struggled, but Salman Agha single-handedly rescued the team with a brilliant century of 107 runs. This innings helped Pakistan set a target of 305 runs.

Recent Weeks of Turmoil

The past few weeks have been very turbulent for Salman Agha. On the England tour, he captained the team in one Test match but was dropped from the next match and returned to Pakistan. Subsequently, he was also stripped of the T20 captaincy and released from the team.

In the ODI match played in Rawalpindi, Pakistan batted first. The top four batsmen, including Babar Azam, were dismissed early, leaving the team at 118 runs. Coming in at number five, Salman Agha took on the responsibility of saving the innings alone. Except for Hasan Nawaz, he received no support from other teammates but still completed his century in 82 balls. This was his fourth ODI century, with his second also coming against Sri Lanka.
