After the shooting incident on actor Tiger Shroff’s car in Mumbai, the Maharashtra government responded promptly. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis spoke with the Mumbai Police Commissioner over the phone to get details of the incident and instructed to apprehend the culprits. Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde also spoke with Tiger and his father Jackie Shroff, assured them of government protection, and described the incident as “worrying and condemnable.”
Chief Minister’s Assurance
Chief Minister Fadnavis told Tiger Shroff, “We are all with you. We will catch the culprits soon. Please do not worry.” He stated that the police will take every possible step to arrest the offenders at the earliest.
Deputy Chief Minister’s Strong Statement
Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde called the incident “worrying and condemnable” and said he had spoken with Tiger, his father Jackie Shroff, and the Mumbai Police Commissioner. Shinde said the shooters will be caught and given a “strong response in their own language.” He also stated that no gang attempting to create fear in Mumbai and Maharashtra will be spared, recalling the gang wars of the 1990s and promising similar action.
Police Action
Mumbai Police have formed several investigation teams. They have taken three eyewitnesses to the police station for questioning. The police stated that all possible resources have been mobilized to identify and arrest the culprits.
